Physics Department Meeting to Discuss Laboratory Strengthening and Scientific Roadmap Development

Department of Physics – In support of the Impactful Campus program launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek), the Department of Physics is reinforcing its commitment to transforming higher education into a driver of social, economic, and environmental change. This initiative goes beyond producing quality graduates, positioning universities as agents of impact.

Through its departmental meeting held on April 29, 2026, the Department undertook a revitalization of the 2026–2030 roadmap for its Fields of Expertise (KBK), aiming to ensure that the Undergraduate Physics Program delivers tangible benefits to society.

The impact-oriented roadmap is implemented through three key areas: Instrumentation Physics, Materials Physics, and Energy and Environmental Physics. The Department has set a target for at least 30% of undergraduate theses and research projects to be aligned with the needs of communities and partners, including both public and private institutions.

The meeting also outlined strategic measures to enhance academic discipline, improve on-time graduation rates, expand national and international collaborations, and strengthen the quality of laboratory services for both teaching and research.

This roadmap is expected to serve as a strategic foundation for advancing curriculum development, research excellence, and collaborative engagement in the years ahead.
