The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Lampung sent two students to participate in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2019 event at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia on April 28 – May 2 2019. The students were Diana Rahma and Elsyana Septiani. Shell Eco Marathon Asia is an annual event organized by PT. Shell and was attended by students from 18 countries in Asia. According to Diana Rahma, one of the representatives of the Department of Physics said that the University of Lampung sent the Moran Team Car to the Shell Eco Marathon Asia event. This is because Shell Eco Marathon Asia aims for students to create innovations in the automotive sector in making energy-efficient cars that are designed aerodynamically so as to create cars that are efficient and environmentally friendly. By participating in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia, the Moran Team hopes to be able to do more research with the best components, getting support from the ranks of the University of Lampung and the Lampung Provincial government.
